Put the Verbs in a Proper Tense and Voice

When writing or speaking in English, it is important to use the proper tense and voice of the verbs. The tense indicates the time of the action, while the voice indicates whether the subject performs the action (active voice) or receives it (passive voice).

Here are some examples of improper tenses and voices and how to correct them:

Example 1:

Wrong: The cake was eaten by me yesterday.

Right: I ate the cake yesterday.

In this sentence, the passive voice is used instead of the active voice. Also, the past participle "eaten" is used instead of the past simple "ate". The correct form in the active voice is "I ate the cake yesterday."

Example 2:

Wrong: I am seeing a movie tomorrow.

Right: I will see a movie tomorrow.

In this sentence, the present continuous tense is used instead of the future simple tense. The correct form is "I will see a movie tomorrow."

Example 3:

Wrong: She has been work at the company for five years.

Right: She has been working at the company for five years.

In this sentence, the present participle "work" is used instead of the gerund form "working". The correct form is "She has been working at the company for five years."

Example 4:

Wrong: He will have been finish the project by next week.

Right: He will have finished the project by next week.

In this sentence, the present participle "finish" is used instead of the past participle "finished". The correct form is "He will have finished the project by next week."

Example 5:

Wrong: The children was played in the park.

Right: The children played in the park.

In this sentence, the singular form "was" is used instead of the plural form "were". The correct form is "The children were playing in the park."

Using the correct tense and voice of the verbs can help to make your writing or speaking clear and easy to understand. With practice, it can become natural to use the proper forms without even thinking about it.
